The Research Paper Project is the focus of the entire course; each reading, writing, and critical thinking exercise is directly related to the development of your research paper. As an introduction to the project, you are to write an argumentative research paper which attempts to persuade your reading audience to accept your position or judgment on a controversial issue related to a contemporary social problem.
