An Exercise in the Analysis of Your Research Paper After finalizing the first draft of your paper, it is important to be able to step back from it and to be able to recognize the plan of the paper as a whole. Such analysis helps you to identify the main ideas and their organization in the paper. The analysis of the plan for the paper is the first step in the editing and revision stages of the writing process.
