Getting around our course website
is very easy. Most of you have probably logged in through Navarro
College's Blackboard course management program. There you found the link
to this page and to the course website.
This page explains how to maneuver through
the website with ease and introduces the various features for each of the
sixteen Learning Units.
Accessing the Course
Website from the External Site
Click on "English 1301 Navarro College" in the list of course links
from the web page, "Distance Learning Associates."

Supplemental Course
Documents
The Supplemental Course Documents include materials that will help
you better understand principles of writing and the processes of
composing explanatory and informational writing.
One example is the "Internet Resources for
Composition" web page. Links included here will assist you in the
various stages of the writing process and introduce you to the broader
fields of professional writing. |

The Unit Web Pages
The Unit web pages contain the instructions for completing the
exercises, reading assignments, and links to additional instructional
materials.Each page is organized the same
way and concludes with the "Student Learning Outcomes" that are
addressed in the Unit of study.
Note that the Units do not conform necessarily to
the Weekly Schedule posted in the syllabus. This because this
course can be taught in various blocks of time, including shorter flex
entry formats, summer terms, and the more familiar sixteen-week
semesters. |
