Exercise 9:  Writing the Winning Resume

Instructions
You are to write two types of résumés: 1) a traditional functional resume, and 2) an electronic (scanable) resume.  Additionally, you will compose a cover letter to accompany the traditional functional resume.

Development
Follow the formats explained and/or the samples provided in Chapter 14-2.  See the additional models I have provided in the website.

Criteria for Grading
Your exercise will be evaluated on the following criteria:

1) demonstrated understanding of the appropriate resume and letter formats
2) demonstrated mastery of the conventions of standard written American English
2) timely submission of the exercises
